Rural Racquets is the north’s home for indoor padel and pickleball, with two venues set in the countryside of County Durham and North Yorkshire. Whether you’re booking first session or your hundredth, you’ll find indoor courts, free parking, equipment to borrow, as a friendly welcome at both sites.
We’ve changed the name from The Padel Barn to Rural Racquets.
Nothing changes about how you book or play. What is changing is the signage, the clubhouse and a few things we’ve got growing in the background. Book now for padel at Leeming Bar, or padel and pickleball at Sedgefield.

Sedgefield (near Durham)
Padel and pickleball, both indoors, on a working farm just outside Sedgefield. Two double padel courts and two single padel courts, plus four pickleball courts. Free parking. Open seven days a week.
North Yorkshire (Leeming Bar)
One indoor double court and one indoor single court for fast, friendly, or competitive play. Changing room on site. Free parking. Easy access from the A1.

Racquets to hire at Sedgefield and free to use at Leeming Bar, balls from the vending machine at both sites, self check-in. Arrive empty-handed and be on court in minutes.

Rallies and competitions at both sites, with a larger space available to book. Padel at Leeming Bar, padel and pickleball at Sedgefield. Get in touch to arrange it.

For everyone
Easy to pick up, low impact, and open to all ages and abilities. Children are welcome from age six upwards when accompanied by an adult, and pickleball is usually the easier of the two for younger players. A sociable sport, in a setting that suits it.
